Halloween On Townsend
Join us as we celebrate or 9th Annual Halloween on the Townsend October 24 & 25th. This year proceeds go to The Sailing Team, LTYC's co-ed racing progrram for sailors ages 14-18. The program objectives are to improve the youths' sailing and racing skill, building leadership, decision making and teamwork while fostering friendships and camaraderie. Sailors develop sportsmanship, integrity, interpersonal skills, and seamanship skills, learn water safety, develop a respect for the environment, while building life skills.
Through focused efforts from our volunteers, our youth sailors have recently resumed sailing practice. In their 3rd year, the team has added 2 more boats to their fleet, donated to the team by Fishing Bay Yacht Club. We all know what more boats means. In addition to race registration, we are also accepting online donations to the team. Just enter your donation amount. Your donation will go toward equipment's repairs & upfits for The Sailing Team. As we are not a 501.c3, your donation is not tax deductible.
The Sailing Team is racing with us on Saturday. This means we have six slots available on Sunday for Sunday only racing. Sign up for Sunday if you can only do Sunday or if no Sat/Sun slots available. If we have any Saturday cancellations, the Sunday registrants will be contacted first to fill the slot before we reach out to those on the waiting list.
